Porsche Centre Kendal was delighted to display this 1977 Porsche Works Rally Car at our Centre.
One of the most historic Porsche Works Rally Cars ever made, this 911 Carrera was built in 1977 for former rally driver, Sobieslaw Zasada, who won the European Rally Championship in 1966, 1967, 1971 and was runner up in the 1968, 1969 and 1972 seasons.
This 911 was made to compete in the London to Sydney Marathon Rally and has covered enough miles in competition to have traveled around the world three times - competing in rallys and safari races and with many Goodwood Festival of Speed appearances.
Currently in the charge of David Cavanagh who purchased it in 2004, the car has returned to its roots by competing in the London to Sydney Marathon Rally. This 911 Porsche Works Rally Car has some very well documented history and David is currently in the process of collecting this together.
Porsche has some amazing history in Motorsport and the best way to learn and experience this is at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. Please visit the Porsche museum website follow for further details.

*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
